It usually takes a few weeks for a bruise to go away completely. Over time, the color changes, at the beginning the stain is mostly reddish, then bluish to purple, until it slowly fades, becomes green-yellowish and then finally disappears.

Some people are more prone to bruises, older people and people with very light skin are usually particularly sensitive because they have brittle blood vessels or skin that is sensitive to blows and marks.

Natural cures for bruising
- Apply a cold or frozen compress as soon as possible after the stroke . Some also put ice directly on the affected area. A bag of frozen vegetables from the freezer can also help.
- Moisten some cotton wool with cold apple cider vinegar and then press it lightly (just lightly!) On the area where you suffered the blow.
- Mix some almond tree leaves with a little water and then use them to make a healing ointment. If you apply this to the affected area, then no bruise will form after the blow.
- Immediately after serving, place a piece of meat on the affected area. This will relieve the pain and also avoid a bruise.
- Make a paste with a little butter and chopped parsley. Then rub it on the affected area without applying too much pressure.
- Use arnica compresses. This medicinal plant is available in pharmacies and is then excellent for treating bruises. Boil a handful of arnica leaves in one liter of water for 15 minutes, then apply the liquid to the affected area.

- Make a tea with 25 grams of witch hazel and half a liter of water. Cook for 15 minutes and then let cool. Moisten some cotton wool with the liquid and then apply it to the affected area.
- Mix 10 drops of everlasting flower essential oil with a spoonful of almond oil. Then use it to moisten some cotton wool and apply it to the hematoma. Let the oil work all night.
- Put three spoons of salt in cotton wool so that it cannot escape and put this in a container with lukewarm water. Then squeeze out the cotton ball and apply it to the affected area, let it act for 8 hours.
- Mix some lemon juice with a spoonful of salt. Moisten some cotton wool with the mixture and apply it to the affected area.
- Put a handful of aniseed leaves in a cup of boiling water, then apply the liquid to the bruise several times.
- Put a handful of dried lemon balm leaves in a container and cover it with 250 ml of almond oil. Then let the mixture steep for 15 days and then sift it. Melt 25 grams of beeswax and then add two capsules of vitamin E. Mix everything well and store in the refrigerator for storage. This remedy works great on bruises.
