  • 4 cups of green lentils (480 gr)
  • 2 leeks
  • 2 onions
  • 3 small carrots
  • 1 large potato
  • 2 peeled garlic cloves
  • 1 spoon of ground green pepper (15 gr)
  • 3 cups of water (750 ml)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 spoons of olive oil (45 ml)
  • 1 spoon of salt (15 gr)
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper

  1. First, you should wash all vegetables thoroughly. This is especially true for the potato, on whose skin there is often still a lot of soil.
  2. Then cut the following ingredients into small pieces: carrots, onions, cloves of garlic and bay leaves.
  3. You can chop the rest of the vegetables a little more coarsely.
  4. Then you put all the ingredients in a large saucepan and pour the water over them. You can also add a little more water if you wish.
  5. Then bring everything to a boil. Stir often so that the vegetables are cooked nice and soft and don’t stick to the bottom of the pot.
