1. Oat biscuits with chocolate (without an oven!)

Ingredients for 12 biscuits

  • 1 cup of sugar (250 g)
  • 150 g butter
  • 1/4 cup milk (150 ml)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of pure cocoa powder (35 g)
  • 1 1/2 cups of oatmeal (375 g)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla (5 mL)
  • 1 pinch of salt

 preparation

  • Mix sugar, butter, milk and cocoa in a saucepan and bring to the boil at low temperature, stirring occasionally.
  • As soon as the butter has melted, add the vanilla and salt. Stir well and cook for 2 minutes. 
  • Then take it off the stove and stir in the oatmeal. Let cool for 5 minutes.
  • Then shape cookies with a teaspoon and place them on the baking paper. Press flat slightly.
  • Let cool for about 1 hour. You can also put the biscuits in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to make it quicker.

2. Pancakes with oats and bananas

This recipe is also delicious and will appeal to the whole family or your guests. You can also serve it as an alternative to bread for breakfast, because the pancakes are very tasty and high in protein.

You don’t have to worry about your figure  and you can enjoy the good taste!

Ingredients for 2 people 

  • 1 teaspoon honey (5 ml)
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (5 ml)
  • 2 bananas (about 400 g)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (5 g)
  • 2 cups of oatmeal (500 g)
  • ½ cup of water (125 ml)

preparation

  • Process all ingredients well in the blender  until a homogeneous, viscous mixture is obtained. 
  • Put some oil in a pan and add some of the batter to form pancakes. Fry for about 2 to 3 minutes, then turn.
  • Prepare all the pancakes like this and serve them with a little honey and / or cinnamon powder.

3. Porridge with oats and milk

  • 1 cup of milk (250 ml)
  • ½ cup oatmeal (125 g)
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest (10 g)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon powder

preparation

  • Bring the milk with the lemon zest and the cinnamon stick to the boil. The oatmeal will increase in size, so use a larger pot.
  • Let everything cook for 5 minutes.
  • Then take it off the stove and let it cool down a bit.
  • Then sprinkle with cinnamon.

4. Chocolate balls with oats, coconut and dulce de leche

  • 2 cups of oatmeal (500 g)
  • 5 tablespoons dulce de leche (75 g)
  • 6 tablespoons cocoa with sugar (90 g)
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons of milk (45 or 60 ml)
  • ½ cup butter (125 g)
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut (250 g, variable to taste)

preparation

  • Mix the oatmeal, milk, cocoa, dulce de leche and butter well in a large bowl. Use a wooden spoon for this.
  • Then you form balls from the mass, which are then rolled in desiccated coconut.
  • Chill the chocolate balls in the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes.
